MEGAN SHAFFER (voice)...graduated with a Bachelors of Music from Belmont University, on the the country's leading commercial music programs. She majored in Vocal Music with a minor in Music Business. Many major artists have come from Belmont including Trisha Yearwood and American Idol finalist Melinda Dolittle.
While in Nashville, she had a variety of opporunities both on campus and off. At Belmont she performed with the Jazz Ensemble, an acapella women's ensemble and various showcases. She's perfomed in many local clubs, singing everything from bluegrass to indie rock. She's also had plenty of studio experience including recording at the famous Ocean Way Studio on Music Row.
As an artist my sound is a musical stew of American roots music. Throw in some Blues, sprinkle on some Jazz, add a little rock and roll and there you have it! Our country has a rich and diverse musical history and I am constantly inspired to continue the tradition through my songwriting and performing.
Megan has taught private voice lessons for the past three years. She really enjoys working with young singers; helping them discover there gifts and watching them grow.
